Description

Porcelain, glazed, decorated in polychrome overglaze colours and gold. Head, tongue and hands movable. Underside with the sword mark in underglaze blue, incised model no. "154" and impressed no. "73", at the base of the neck verso again the impressed no. "73". A larger, very similarly decorated version of this figure is illustrated in: Rainer Rückert: Meissener Porzellan 1710 – 1810. Exhibition at the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum.

Porzellan, glasiert, in polychromen Aufglasurfarben und Gold staffiert. Kopf, Zunge und Hände beweglich. Unterseits mit der Schwertermarke in Unterglasurblau sowie der geritzten Modell-Nr. "154" und Präge- Nr. "73", am Halsansatz des Kopfes verso nochmals die Präge-Nr. "73". Eine größere, sehr ähnlich staffierte Version zu vorliegender Figur abgebildet in: Rainer Rückert: Meissener Porzellan 1710 – 1810. Ausstellung im Bayerischen Nationalmuseum. München 1966. Die "Chinesenmode" erlebte vor allem in Preußen noch einmal eine späte Blüte, 1762 bestellte Friedrich der Große "10 Bajoden mit wackelnden Köpfen á 1 Fuß hoch", diese trugen vierstellige Form-Nummern, kleinere frühe Wackelköpfe trugen die Form-Nr. "65/66". In frühen Manufaktur-Akten "Sitzende Indianische Pagoden" genannt, wurden sie im Preisverzeichnis von 1731 wurden in vier Größen angeboten.
