Privacy

Data collected

Your email address, your language, your country and delivery postcode, your status (private individual or business) and, if you provide them, your first name and VAT number. We also record your alerts, your tracked lots and clicks to lots, along with your connection country.

Purposes

To log you in, send your alerts and reminders, calculate the delivered price to your address, and produce anonymous traffic statistics for sellers (number of visitors by country, with no personal data whatsoever).

Searches and personalisation

We record searches made on Bidorado (words typed, filters, category, language and country, number of results) to improve the service and decide which sales to add. For visitors without an account this data is anonymous: no name, no email address, and the session identifier is replaced every day by a fingerprint. For members, the lots viewed, followed and clicked are used to calculate an interest profile (favourite categories, usual budget) that powers the "For you" suggestions and alerts. This profile never leaves Bidorado, is never sold or shared, and can be switched off and deleted at any time in your settings. Search logs are deleted after 13 months.

Legal basis and retention

Performance of the service you request. Your data is kept for as long as your account is active, then deleted.

Recipients

Our technical providers only: host, Cloudflare and the email sending service. No resale, no advertising.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure (the "Delete my account" button in your settings), objection and portability: [email protected]. You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
