Oil on canvas. Signed "A le Beau" lower left. Verso titled and signed again "A le Beau". Stamped on the central stretcher bar "Gustave SENNELIER Fabricant – 3. QUAI VOLTAIRE en face du pont S[ain]ts-Pères. Paris". On the stretcher bars inscribed "Le Beau", another illegible, plus the label (1934–45) of the Kühl art exhibition, Kleine Brüdergasse 21, Dresden, with title and artist's name, and a heavily damaged label.

QUAI VOLTAIRE en face du pont S[ain]ts-Pères. Paris". Auf den Keilrahmenleisten bezeichnet "Le Beau", eine weitere unleserlich, außerdem das Etikett (1934–45) der Kunstausstellung Kühl, Kleine Brüdergasse 21, Dresden, darauf betitelt und künstlerbezeichnet sowie ein stark beschädigtes Etikett wohl des Bilderhauses ... Wiedemann, Karl-Liebknechtstraße 9, Karl-Marx-Stadt (ca. 1953–1975). Die markante bretonische Landschaft mit ihren roten Felsen im Golf von Morbihan regte Alcide Le Beau zu weiteren Gemälden an. Bemerkenswert ist, dass er in vielen der dort entstandenen Landschaftsbildern ebenfalls Baumzweige im Vordergrund zeigt, um das atmosphärische Licht auf die Leinwand zu bannen, vgl. "Le pommes rouges" (Morbihan), ohne Jahr, Öl auf Papier (auf Leinwand maroufliert), abgebildet in: Robert Hellebranth: Alcide Le Beau, 1873–1943. Paris 1988, S. 19. Die malerischen Werke Le Beaus sind nur kursorisch datiert. Als kompositionell und farblich vergleichbar sind die Gemälde "Les voiles roses" sowie "Effet de lumière à travers les branches", beide 1906 im Pariser Herbstsalon ausgestellt, zu nennen, vgl. ebd., S. 18 und S. 20.
