Four ornamental letters from the same correspondence, 5.1. to 24.3.1870, each with K2 "Elberfeld" to a "Mademoiselle Julie Thies" in Strasbourg, all franked with 1/2 Gr. orange, 1 Gr. pink and 2 Gr. blue (a few values with short perforations). Three different variants of ornamental letters were used: one particularly opulent ornamental letter with rich embossing, without printing, as well as a cover with gold printing on front and back, and two others
Vier Zierbriefe aus gleicher Korrespondenz, 5.1. bis 24.3.1870, je mit K2 "Elberfeld" an eine "Mademoiselle Julie Thies" in Straßbourg, alle frankiert mit 1/2 Gr. orange, 1 Gr. rosa und 2 Gr. blau (wenige Werte Zahnverkürzungen). Verwendet wurden drei verschiedene Varianten von Zierbriefen: einmal ein besonders opulent geprägter Zierbrief mit reichhaltiger Prägung, ohne Druck, ferner ein Couvert mit vorder- und rückseitigem Golddruck, sowie zwei gleichartige Couverts mit vorderseitiger Verzierung mit Colordruck und Prägung sowie rückseitiger Prägung.
