"Madonna mit Kind und einem Heiligen umgeben von Engeln" , wohl Eitempera auf Holz, Goldgrund, auf der Vorderseite in erhabenen Buchstaben "OPUS ANTONIUS FMCCCCXXX", 60 x 44 cm, neuzeitlicher Rahmen. Bei dem uns vorliegenden Tafelbild könnte es sich um ein Werk des Magister Antonius pictor handeln, einem der Söhne des Bitino da Faenza. Dies lässt sich sowohl auf biographische wie auch stilistische Merkmale zurückführen. Mit diesem Werk wäre auch Bitinos Sohn Antonius erstmals auf die kunsthistorische Landkarte gesetzt. Wir danken Prof. Gaudenz Freuler für den Hinweis, es könnte sich um ein Werk des Sohnes von Bitino da Faenza handeln.
